New Prints!

I’ve got two new prints made up! They’re an edition of thirty giclee prints on heavy-weight paper. Mr. Potato Head and Friends and Enemies.

If you’re interested in purchasing one, contact me. They are also available through Southside Gallery in Oxford, MS.

Just finished this lego painting up! I started it about 6 months ago and just now finishing it. I was partially inspired by Mondrian and his later paintings. This painting is called “Condo.”

Condo, oil on muslin, mounted to panel, 11.5 x 7.75 inches, 2012

New Lego print!

Just finished a new screenprint! I haven’t screenprinted in years and it was a nice change from painting. When I was an undergrad, I did my BFA thesis using all screenprints. Just like old times…

Say, Ahhhhhhhh…

I’ve been experimenting with painting parts of the body lately. This is a new, itty-bitty painting. Close to life-size. I hope to do lots more. These are fun to paint!

FIRST PRINT EVER!

So I finally got around to making small prints of my Admiral Ackbar painting called “It’s a Trap!” This is a small edition of 50 giclee prints available online through Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco. They’re $25. Signed and numbered. 8 x 7 inches.
Get em here while they’re hot!

New painting! – Flying Fortress

This is my newest painting called Flying Fortress. Just spent about 3 months on it and finished it up before Christmas. It’s oil on muslin, mounted to panel. Enjoy!

Deck the Halls

Darth Vader is looking very festive! Take a gander at my recent creation. I made a Christmas ornament for a silent auction benefitting my local community arts center recently. I thought it’d be funny In keeping with my current theme of toys. I bought an old Darth Vader off ebay for about 7 or 8 bucks and made a Santa hat out of sculptey and glued it on. Look all right?

New painting in the works

This is a detail shot sneak peak at a new painting I’m working on for a show in San Francisco.

New Work!

I’ve started a new painting which is around 14 x 18. That size for me is huuuuuuge. I’m so use to working small, basically on the microscopic level it seems. The subject is another Lego still-life. This time it’s way more complicated and involved. Hoping to get it finished within the next month or two.

Zach of Supersonic Electronic so graciously invited me to be apart of a curated show at Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco. I’m excited to show some new art. This means I must burn the midnight oil!
